Parking is easy (which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling camera gear around), and they’ve got a camp kitchen and laundry facilities that are actually clean and functional. The town itself is small but has what you need – a decent pub, a bakery that does surprisingly good pies, and a little general store. It’s not going to win any luxury awards, but for what it is – a solid, honest place to stay while you explore one of Tasmania’s most underrated coastal areas – it delivers exactly what you’d want.
