Reflections Ferry Reserve – Holiday Park

Reflections Ferry Reserve – Holiday Park Overview
You know how some places surprise you? Reflections Ferry Reserve isn’t your typical holiday park – I mean, sure, it’s got that familiar family-friendly vibe, but there’s something more refined about it. Sitting right on Riverside Crescent in Brunswick Heads, it’s basically tucked between the Brunswick River and the ocean, which honestly gives you the best of both worlds. The whole setup feels less like a crowded caravan park and more like… well, I guess you’d call it elevated camping? The sites are actually spacious, and you’re not listening to your neighbor’s TV through paper-thin walls.
What really got me was the location – Brunswick Heads locals will tell you this stretch along the river is where you want to be. You can walk to the pub (the Brunswick Heads Hotel, if you’re wondering) in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear the Friday night crowd. The river access is the real draw though. I watched people launching kayaks right from the park in the morning, and there’s this peaceful thing that happens around sunset when the water goes completely still. The facilities are actually well-maintained too – clean amenities blocks, decent camp kitchens, and the staff seem to genuinely care about keeping things running smoothly. I was expecting typical holiday park chaos during school holidays, but they’ve got it pretty well organized.
Here’s what sold me on the place: it’s one of those spots where you can feel properly away from everything without being inconveniently remote. Byron Bay’s twenty minutes south if you want the tourist thing, but Brunswick Heads has this lovely, unhurried pace that’s hard to find anymore. The park’s got direct river frontage – not just “water views” but actual water access – and on weekday mornings it’s incredibly quiet. You’ll hear kookaburras before you hear traffic. The whole Riverside Crescent area stays pretty calm even in peak season, probably because it’s just residential and this park. Parking’s never an issue, check-in was straightforward, and honestly, for a 4-star holiday park, it delivers on that rating. That 9.2 score makes sense when you factor in the location, the river access, and the fact that they’ve managed to create something that feels more like a retreat than just another place to pitch your tent.

Everything! The location, the tiny house, the staff. The kitchen utensils, the comfy bed, the big shower. The swimming in the river. Could not fault at all ! Will definitely stay here again. Thank you 🙏
What could be improved: Maybe the uncomfortable couch but then we spent all our time outdoors so it didn't matter.

What could be improved: The bathroom basin was very small. Difficult to use.
Renée from Australia (December 13, 2024)
It was almost perfect, it had a beautiful location, no problems with noise from other guests, nice decor, felt very safe and everyone was friendly.
What could be improved: The pillows were too high to use without getting a sore neck so my partner used the lounge cushion and I used my jacket, the kids just didn’t have pillows.
Michelle from Australia (December 6, 2024)
The cabin was new, with lovely furnishings, air con and dishwasher. The deck has views to the river and a bbq which was great.
What could be improved: Nothing really. If I was being picky…There was some traffic noise from the hwy when we were out on the deck but it wasn’t a problem. Traffic noise couldn’t be heard from inside with air con on.

Beautiful location right on the river and close to everything. The cabin was perfect, lovely verandah with a lockable gate which is great for small children. Will definitely be back.
