The location is honestly pretty perfect if you’re looking to explore the Cotswolds without dealing with the tourist circus that Broadway or Chipping Campden can become (especially during summer weekends). South Cerney sits right between Cirencester and Swindon, which sounds boring until you realize you’re about ten minutes from some genuinely lovely countryside walks and maybe twenty from Cirencester’s market square – where, by the way, you can actually park without wanting to cry about it. The house itself feels properly private, set back from Broadway Lane enough that you’re not hearing every car that passes, though honestly the traffic here is pretty minimal anyway. I loved that you could actually open the windows at night without worrying about noise, something that’s become depressingly rare.
