HOTEL OVERVIEW

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled into Pinjarra Caravan Park and Cabins – you know how it is with these roadside spots. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s right there on Pinjarra Road, which sounds like it might be noisy, but once you’re settled in, you barely notice the traffic. The whole setup feels more like a proper little community than just another overnight stop.

The cabins themselves are pretty solid for what you’re paying – I mean, we’re talking 3-star accommodation here, not the Ritz, but everything works and it’s genuinely clean. What I really appreciated was how the owners (you can tell they actually live on-site) have thought about the little things that matter when you’re traveling. The cabin we stayed in had enough power outlets – sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong – and the kitchenette was actually functional, not just for show. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with springs all night, which honestly puts it ahead of some fancier places I’ve stayed.

What really works about this spot is its location in Pinjarra itself. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the town center, which is handy for grabbing supplies or a decent coffee at one of the local cafés. If you’re into history stuff, the old Pinjarra courthouse and some of the heritage buildings are right there – perfect for an evening stroll. And if you’re here during the warmer months, you’re close enough to the Murray River for a swim or just to sit by the water. The caravan park side of things means there’s always a bit of activity during the day – families coming and going, people setting up camp – but it quiets down nicely in the evenings.

The whole place has this relaxed, unpretentious vibe that’s hard to fake. Check-in was straightforward (no complicated key card systems or anything), parking is right outside your cabin, and there’s enough space between units that you’re not listening to your neighbors’ conversations. For families, there’s a playground that actually looks maintained, and I noticed they have decent amenities blocks for the caravan sites that looked spotless. It’s the kind of place where you can tell the owners take pride in what they’re doing without making a big show of it. At an 8.0 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most people, and I can see why – sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just do the basics really well.

The lady who checked me in at 2pm on Saturday (sorry I didn't catch your name!) Was lovely, helpful and very friendly. Made me feel right at home right away! The 1 bedroom cabin was lovely, well maintained and the beds (even the single in the lounge as I ended up sleeping on that one for the air con! 😂) were very comfortable to sleep on. The park has a very relaxed feel, everyone who walked/drove past me when I was relaxing on the varandah waved or smiled. The bird life (there's a peacock!) And the many trees around made it very relaxing. I could definitely have stayed another night. Close to mandurah foreshore - approx 15/20min drive and pretty easy as it's basically just straight down pinjarra road.

What could be improved: The wifi didn't work, even though the lady mentioned it would work in Cabin 3, but it didn't really matter and it didn't impact our stay 🙂

I loved the bed as it was very comfortable for me. I have stayed at hotels and the beds were very hard and I lost sleep. Thankyou for your consideration.

What could be improved: The couch and comfy chair was too low for me and I had trouble getting off them. Otherwise the cabin was all i needed
No Wi-Fi access in my cabin.
