The Bungle Bungles are a day trip away (long day, but doable), and if you’re into fishing, well… let’s just say I saw some pretty impressive barramundi photos being shared around the camp kitchen. The staff actually know the area – not just the tourist brochure stuff, but real local intel about where to catch sunset at the dam, which walking tracks are worth your time, and importantly, where to stock up on supplies before heading into more remote areas. That 8.8 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs – check-in was painless, the grounds are well-maintained without being manicured to death, and there’s this relaxed efficiency that you don’t always find in holiday parks.
