The Cotton Fields shopping center is close enough if you need proper groceries, and honestly, being on Tibbereena means you can get out of town quickly if you’re heading north toward the Pilliga or west to the Warrumbungles. I stayed during cotton picking season (didn’t realize that was a thing until I got there), and while the town was busier than usual, the caravan park never felt overcrowded. The staff mentioned that’s their peak time, so if you’re after total quiet, maybe avoid March to June.
