Mermaid Beach Park View

Mermaid Beach Park View Overview
Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first pulled up to Mermaid Beach Park View on Ventura Road, I wasn’t expecting much. The building’s got that slightly weathered Gold Coast apartment vibe going on, you know? But honestly, that’s kind of what I ended up loving about it. There’s no pretentious marble lobby or staff hovering around trying to upsell you spa treatments – it’s just straightforward, comfortable accommodation that actually delivers on what matters. The location is genuinely brilliant (and I mean that in the most practical way possible). You’re literally a two-minute walk to Mermaid Beach, which, let’s face it, is one of the better stretches of sand on the Gold Coast without all the Surfers Paradise chaos. I could hear the ocean from my room on the third floor, especially at night when the traffic on the Gold Coast Highway died down.
What really won me over was how the place just… works. The park views they advertise? Yeah, they’re actually proper park views – not some tiny patch of grass between buildings. I watched kids playing cricket in the afternoons and morning joggers doing their thing, which was oddly relaxing with my coffee. The rooms are decent-sized for the Gold Coast (where everything’s usually crammed), and while the décor isn’t going to win any design awards, everything’s clean and functional. The kitchenette actually has proper cooking equipment – not those sad little hotel hotplates that barely warm water. Parking was included, which saved me about thirty bucks a day compared to staying closer to Broadbeach or Surfers. The pool area gets good sun in the mornings but gets a bit shaded by the building after 3 PM, just so you know.
Here’s the thing – this isn’t a resort where you’ll be posting Instagram shots of infinity pools or getting room service at midnight. But if you want a solid base for exploring the Gold Coast without paying resort prices, and you actually prefer being near the beach rather than in the middle of tourist central, it’s honestly hard to beat. The 7.5 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect (the Wi-Fi can be patchy, and you’ll hear the occasional late-night party from nearby apartments), but it does exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during the busy summer months when everywhere else is charging ridiculous rates. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to all the good stuff in Broadbeach when you want it, but far enough away to actually get some sleep.

The owner was very helpful. She made sure that the check-in process was easy. She even called my boss to make sure that I was happy with everything while I was there. The rooms were really nice and the cleanliness was great.
