You know what struck me first about Korumar Hotel Deluxe? It’s actually tucked away in this quieter stretch called Gazi Begendi – which honestly, most tourists haven’t even heard of. But that’s exactly what makes it work. You’re still in Kusadası, maybe a 10-minute dolmuş ride from all the main action around the harbor, but without the constant buzz of scooters and tour groups that can drive you a bit mad after a few days.
The place has that polished five-star feel without being stuffy about it, if that makes sense. I mean, the lobby’s impressive – lots of marble and those big Turkish ceramics – but the staff actually remembers your name after day two, which you don’t always get at these larger properties. The rooms are properly spacious (I had one facing the gardens, thankfully away from the pool area where things can get pretty lively during peak season). Air conditioning that actually works – crucial for those July afternoons when Kusadası turns into an oven. One small thing though: the WiFi gets a bit spotty on the higher floors, so if you’re planning to work from your room, maybe mention that at check-in.
What really won me over was how they handle the whole resort experience without making it feel like you’re trapped in a bubble. Sure, there’s the expected pool scene and evening entertainment, but they also hook you up with local recommendations that go beyond the usual Ephesus tour pitch. The concierge – this guy named Mehmet – actually pointed me toward this incredible little fish place down in the old town that I never would’ve found otherwise. And here’s something practical: parking is genuinely free and there’s plenty of it, which is honestly a relief because finding a spot in central Kusadası during summer is basically a contact sport. The beach access is decent too, though it’s more of a private cove situation rather than a long stretch of sand – perfect for morning swims before the crowds hit, but you might want to venture out for those Instagram-worthy sunset shots. The breakfast spread is solid Turkish fare mixed with international options, and they make a proper Turkish coffee if you ask nicely. Overall, it’s one of those places that gets the balance right – comfortable enough that you feel looked after, but connected enough to the real Kusadası that you’re not missing out on why you came to Turkey in the first place.

Loved the breakfast pancakes. Hot stone massage was best ever. Animation staff very friendly. Enjoyed water aerobics and also learned to play Bocce Ball. Pool and ocean beautiful.

The position on the cliffs with the sea coming in below was amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and super efficient. We don’t like buffets but this one was outstanding. And the fish restaurant downstairs excellent. The pool is big and long with lots of sunbeds
