When I mentioned wanting to hit MONA but avoid the crowds, the woman at reception told me exactly which ferry times to catch and suggested I grab lunch in Berriedale on the way back instead of fighting for a table at the museum café. That kind of advice is worth its weight in gold. The facilities are clean without being sterile, and there’s this communal barbecue area that gets surprisingly social in the evenings.
