Caseys Beach Holiday Park
You know what surprised me about Casey’s Beach Holiday Park? It’s actually way more polished than the name suggests. I mean, when you hear “holiday park,” you’re probably picturing something pretty basic, but this place on Beach Road has this really nice balance between casual beach vibes and having your stuff together. The moment you pull up, you can smell that salty air mixing with the eucalyptus from the bush behind the property, and honestly, that’s half the appeal right there.
The location is pretty sweet – you’re literally a two-minute walk to the sand at Sunshine Bay, which locals will tell you is one of the quieter stretches compared to the main beaches further north. I watched families set up their day camps there without fighting for space, even during school holidays. The cabins themselves are clean and functional (nothing fancy, but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for basic meals). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – there’s this house rule about keeping noise down after 9 PM that they actually enforce, so you’re not dealing with party groups going until all hours. The powered sites for caravans are well-spaced too, if that’s more your thing.
Here’s the thing though – and maybe this is obvious given it’s a 3-star place – don’t expect resort-style service or Instagram-worthy interiors. The front desk closes early (around 6 PM I think), so if you’re arriving late, you’ll need to sort that out beforehand. But what they lack in fancy touches, they make up for with genuine helpfulness. The woman at reception gave us these detailed directions to a local fish and chips place that turned out to be absolutely perfect, plus she marked up a map showing the best walking tracks along the headland. That kind of local knowledge you just can’t get from chain hotels. The whole setup feels like it’s run by people who actually live in the area and want you to enjoy it – which, after staying at some pretty soulless places, was refreshing. If you’re looking for somewhere to base yourself while exploring the south coast without breaking the bank, and you don’t need room service or a concierge, this place delivers exactly what it promises.
Each resort village provides a unique blend of privacy and community, where guests enjoy villa-style accommodations while having access to shared amenities and social experiences.

I loved this little cabin at the front of the Holiday Park. It had everything I needed for my long weekend at the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful with check in as well as with local information. This was a quiet location, and I could hear the waves at night. The AC and heat were both needed, and worked well. The price was...
