Beachcomber Holiday Park
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first pulled up to Beachcomber Holiday Park β I mean, the name makes it sound like some massive caravan site with screaming kids everywhere. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Blackfellow Point Road, which winds through this gorgeous stretch of coast between Bermagui and Narooma, and once you’re there, you realize why it’s got that 9.1 rating despite being a pretty unpretentious three-star spot.
The thing about Potato Point (and yes, locals actually call it that without cracking a smile) is that it’s still relatively undiscovered compared to the busier towns up north. Beachcomber sits right in the sweet spot where you can walk to the beach in about three minutes β and I’m talking about proper beach here, not some tiny cove. The ocean views from some of the cabins are actually stunning, especially at sunrise when the light hits the water just right. What I loved most was how quiet it gets in the evenings; you can hear the waves from your accommodation, which beats any white noise machine. The facilities are clean and well-maintained (though the Wi-Fi can be a bit patchy in some areas β fair warning if you’re trying to work remotely), and the staff genuinely seem to care about the place rather than just going through the motions.
Honestly, this is one of those places that works perfectly if you want to properly disconnect for a few days. The nearby walking tracks along the headland are incredible β you might spot whales during migration season if you’re lucky β and there’s decent fishing right off the rocks if that’s your thing. The little general store in Potato Point village stocks the basics, but I’d recommend grabbing supplies in Bermagui (about 15 minutes north) before you settle in. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and they actually remember your name, which is rare these days. The only minor downside is that it can get pretty busy during school holidays, so the peaceful vibe shifts a bit, but even then it never felt overcrowded. For what you pay, especially considering you’re getting beach access and that genuine coastal atmosphere without the tourist trap pricing, it’s honestly hard to beat.

I loved the simplicity of the accomodation - nothing grand just simple clean accomodation that offered all the creature comforts of home ... I highly recommend this Holiday Park What could be improved: having to leave - having to pack up and drive away from the beautiful location - the accomodation offered the fisher person the surfer and the sun...

they say it is a sea view but it is a caravan view, caravan and tents everywhere, we paid so much money but is the people in the caravan who got the view π₯²
