Breeze Holiday Parks – Halls Gap
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Breeze Holiday Parks at the corner of School and Grampians Road, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. This isn’t some flashy resort trying to impress everyone on Instagram, it’s more like that reliable friend who actually shows up when they say they will.
The location is honestly perfect if you’re planning to tackle the Grampians properly. I mean, you’re literally right there in Halls Gap – you can walk to the main strip for coffee and supplies, but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos that hits some of the flashier accommodations during peak season. The folks running the place actually seem to know the area inside and out, which makes a difference when you’re asking about which walking trails are worth your time or where to grab decent food after 8 PM (spoiler: options are limited, so plan ahead). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – sure, you’ll hear the occasional kookaburra having a laugh at dawn, but that’s kind of the point of being here, right?
The facilities are clean and functional without being fancy – think quality camping vibes rather than luxury resort. The cabins are well-maintained and honestly, after a day hiking around MacKenzie Falls or sweating up the Pinnacle, you just want a decent shower and a comfortable bed, which this place delivers on. Parking is straightforward, check-in was refreshingly efficient, and there’s this relaxed atmosphere where families with kids aren’t stressed about making too much noise, but it’s not a party destination either. I stayed during shoulder season in autumn and it felt like the perfect balance – busy enough that the place had energy but not so packed that you’re fighting for space. The 8.0 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, it genuinely does what it promises well, and in a place like Halls Gap where you’re mainly there for the natural attractions anyway, that’s exactly what you want.

Great cabin: very clean, confortable with good WIFI and good AC + heating. Many kangaroos around :)
Easy arrival, great communication before arrival. Right in the center in Halls Gap (walking distance to everything).

The property was tranquil and absolutely beautiful, well kept and amenities excellent What could be improved: I booked through booking.com and expected to be booked into a Villa as shown on booking.com website when processing booking and payment but booking.com let us down and booked us into a ‘basic’ box, not happy with booking.com I am really...

Perfect location, right in Halls Gap. Ease of checking in. It was great that the heater was on and the cabin nice and warm after a 400km motorcycle ride in a Victorian winter. What could be improved: Not sure how pricing is managed/ regulated but when I was doing the initial booking there was a wide range of quotes from various booking platforms,...

Everything - location, facilities and cosy space inside the cabin.

The heater is not strong enough... but can't complain as they provide extra duvet in the wardrobe.
