Blairgowrie Holiday Park
First Impressions
When I first pulled into Blairgowrie Holiday Park, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what I thought would be a typical holiday park. But this five-star property completely changed my perspective on what a luxury holiday park could be. Set along Hatton Road in Blairgowrie, it’s nestled in the heart of Perthshire’s stunning countryside, and you immediately feel that sense of escape the moment you arrive. The free parking right on-site is a nice touch — no hunting around for spaces or worrying about fees.
The Luxury Holiday Park Experience
What sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to blend the freedom of a holiday park with genuine luxury touches. The accommodations here aren’t your typical static caravans — we’re talking about beautifully appointed lodges and premium pitches that actually feel special. Each unit comes with its own kitchen, which I found incredibly well-equipped for preparing meals with local Scottish produce. The attention to detail throughout the park is impressive, from the manicured grounds to the quality of the facilities.
Location and Natural Beauty
Blairgowrie sits in one of Scotland’s most beautiful regions, and this park takes full advantage of that setting. You’re surrounded by rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and some of the most peaceful countryside I’ve experienced. The nearby River Ericht adds to the tranquil atmosphere — I spent quite a few evenings just listening to the water flow. It’s no wonder couples rate the location so highly; there’s something genuinely romantic about the setting, especially during sunset when the light hits the surrounding hills just right.
Amenities and Comfort
The facilities here go well beyond what you’d expect from a holiday park. The spa facilities are particularly impressive — after a day exploring the Cairngorms or wandering through Blairgowrie’s charming town center, there’s nothing better than unwinding in the sauna. The on-site restaurant serves excellent Scottish fare, though honestly, I found myself cooking in my lodge’s kitchen quite often because the local farmers’ markets provide such incredible ingredients. Each room and lodge is designed with comfort in mind, featuring quality furnishings and those little luxury touches that make you feel pampered.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.1 rating really speaks for itself, but what I think guests love most is the combination of luxury and freedom this place offers. You get the independence of self-catering accommodation with the amenities and service of a high-end resort. The staff genuinely care about your experience — they’re locals who know the area inside and out and are always ready with recommendations for hidden gems in the surrounding countryside. Whether you’re planning romantic walks along the River Tay, exploring nearby castles, or simply wanting to disconnect from the world in beautiful surroundings, this place delivers on all fronts. It’s that rare find where luxury doesn’t feel stuffy, and nature doesn’t mean roughing it.
Discover luxury resort villages that offer the perfect blend of intimate community atmosphere and world-class amenities, providing guests with unforgettable vacation experiences in stunning natural settings.
