You’re close enough to Shepparton’s main drag that grabbing supplies or heading out for dinner doesn’t require a major expedition, but far enough out that you feel like you’ve escaped the town bustle. If you’re into the whole Goulburn Valley wine scene, you’re perfectly positioned for day trips – I did a loop through Nagambie and Tahbilk one afternoon and was back for a barbecue dinner without any drama. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly complicated process some places put you through. The staff actually seemed to know the area well when I asked about local spots, which is rarer than it should be these days. My only minor gripe would be that the Wi-Fi gets a bit patchy in some of the cabins further from reception, but honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise if you’re trying to properly switch off. For a 4-star holiday park, it delivers on that rating without feeling pretentious about it.
