Belair Gardens Caravan Park

Belair Gardens Caravan Park Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Belair Gardens Caravan Park on Marine Terrace – I mean, the name pretty much tells you what you’re getting, right? But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those spots that gets caravan parks right, if that makes sense. The location is actually brilliant – you’re literally across from the ocean (like, proper ocean views from some sites), and you can walk to Geraldton’s town beach in about five minutes. The Marine Terrace strip here is where all the action happens anyway, so you’re not stuck out in some industrial wasteland like some parks I’ve stayed at.
What really won me over was how well they’ve thought everything through. The amenities block is newer than you’d expect, and – this might sound weird – but the water pressure in the showers is actually decent. I’ve stayed at fancy hotels with worse showers, honestly. The sites themselves are a good size, not those cramped sardine-tin setups where you’re practically sharing breakfast with your neighbors. There’s proper grass (not just dirt with weeds), and they’ve got these established trees that give you some shade during Geraldton’s brutal summer afternoons. The camp kitchen is pretty well-equipped too, though it gets busy around dinner time when everyone’s cooking at once – typical caravan park chaos, but in a good way.
Here’s the thing about Geraldton – it can be windy as hell, especially in winter, but the way Belair Gardens is positioned, you’re somewhat sheltered from the worst of it. Plus, being right on Marine Terrace means you can duck into town when the weather turns nasty. The Dome Café is literally a two-minute walk away (their coffee is decent, by the way), and you’ve got the foreshore playground right there if you’re traveling with kids. I actually saw families who’d clearly been coming back for years – always a good sign. The owners seem to genuinely care about the place, not like those corporate-owned parks where everything’s falling apart and no one gives a damn. Sure, it’s not luxury accommodation or anything, but for a 3-star caravan park, it punches well above its weight. If you’re planning to explore the Batavia Coast or just want a decent base in Geraldton without paying resort prices, this place makes a lot of sense.

Nice and Quiet. The house was so clean and beds were well prepped. And also really liked the kitchen wares prepped clean.
What could be improved: A little bit difficult to find the house when it's dark. Even better if the house numbers can be more visible when arrive in late evening.
Dom from Australia (January 27, 2025)
Spacious, neat and tidy with a nice little ocean view out the front
What could be improved: Bathroom and toilet were a bit old
