Wodonga Caravan & Cabin Park
Look, I’ll be straight with you – when I first pulled up to Wodonga Caravan & Cabin Park on Melbourne Road, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s got that typical roadside park vibe, sitting right there where you can hear the occasional truck rumble past. But honestly? This place surprised me in all the right ways.
The thing about Wodonga is that it’s sort of the forgotten cousin of Albury (just across the Murray River), but that actually works in your favor here. You’re getting genuine country hospitality without the tourist markup, and the park really captures that. The cabins – well, they’re not going to win any design awards, but they’re clean and actually quite roomy inside. I mean, you’ve got proper beds, a little kitchenette that works perfectly fine, and decent air conditioning which you’ll definitely appreciate during those brutal Victorian summers. The owners clearly know their stuff too – check-in was smooth, no fuss, and they actually gave me useful local tips instead of just handing over a key card.
What really sold me was the practical stuff that matters when you’re road-tripping. There’s plenty of parking (sounds obvious, but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong), the amenities block is kept spotless, and the whole place has this quiet, settled feel once evening hits. You know what I loved? Walking around in the morning with my coffee – there’s something about caravan parks at dawn, all peaceful with just the sound of magpies and maybe someone quietly packing up their rig. The location is honestly perfect if you’re exploring the Murray Valley or heading up to the snow – you’re literally ten minutes from Albury’s restaurants and shops, but without the city noise. Plus, if you’re into cycling or walking, there are some great river tracks nearby that most tourists never discover. The park sits at a decent elevation too, so you get these lovely views toward the Kiewa Valley on clear days. I stayed three nights and genuinely didn’t want to leave – sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard, they just get the basics absolutely right.
Premium village resorts combine the charm of traditional village life with modern luxury accommodations, creating unique destinations where travelers can immerse themselves in local culture and relaxation.

Kate
The cabin was extremely clean and had all the things we needed for a 1 night stay. Kitchen well equipped. The location right off the Hume made it convenient for a stop over. Great facilities with the pool and playground for little kids to use their energy. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful at checkin.

The taps in Cabin 37 were very hard to turn on and off and kept dripping- may need the washers looked at, and the shower door didn't close so floor got wet. Not big problems, just little annoyances.
