Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of all-inclusive resorts in Turkey, but VONRESORT Golden Coast & Aqua actually surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. The moment you pull up to this place in Colakli (which is basically the quieter, less touristy side of Side), you realize they’ve put some serious thought into the whole family experience. I mean, the lobby alone has this massive aquarium that had my kids glued to the glass for twenty minutes while I handled check-in.
What really sets this resort apart is how they’ve nailed the balance between keeping the little ones entertained and giving parents actual moments to breathe. The aqua park isn’t just some afterthought with a couple of slides – we’re talking multiple pools with different intensity levels, and the staff actually knows how to manage crowds so you’re not waiting forever. The kids’ club is legit too, not just babysitting with crayons. My eight-year-old came back talking about some treasure hunt they organized that apparently involved the entire property. And you know what? The Ultra All Inclusive setup here actually means something – I didn’t feel like I was getting nickeled and dimed every time someone wanted a snack or drink.
The location in Colakli works in your favor because you’re far enough from the chaos of central Side but close enough to hop over to the ancient ruins if you want some culture (about a 15-minute drive). The beach situation is solid – it’s that classic Mediterranean setup with the pebbles mixing into sand as you walk in, and the water gets deep pretty quickly, which the older kids loved for diving. Mornings are your best bet for grabbing prime spots, though honestly, they have enough space that it never felt cramped. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the evening entertainment can get a bit loud if you’re in the rooms closest to the main pool area, but nothing earplugs can’t handle. Staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing – our server at the main restaurant remembered my daughter’s weird obsession with having her fruit cut in triangles, which might sound small but made her entire week. With an 8.7 rating, you’re looking at a place that consistently delivers on what it promises, and after seven days there, I can see why families keep coming back.
