Villaggio Miramare

Villaggio Miramare Overview
You know what, Villaggio Miramare really surprised me when I stayed there last spring. This four-star resort sits right along the coastline in Bibione, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the beach, which means you can actually hear the waves from some of the rooms (though that can be a double-edged sword if you’re a light sleeper).
The whole place has this relaxed, family-friendly vibe that I wasn’t expecting. I mean, it’s not one of those stuffy resort hotels where you feel like you need to dress up for breakfast. The staff here genuinely seems to care – they remembered my name after the second day, which doesn’t happen often at larger properties. My room was clean and comfortable, though I’ll be honest, the furniture’s a bit dated (think early 2000s vibes), but everything worked perfectly. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during those surprisingly hot May afternoons. What really impressed me was the attention to detail – fresh towels every day, and they actually restocked the mini-fridge without me having to ask. The hotel restaurant serves decent Italian fare, though I’d recommend venturing out to Via delle Colonie for some of the local seafood spots that the Bibione locals actually frequent.
Well, here’s the thing about the practical stuff – parking is included and there’s plenty of space, which is huge during peak summer season when finding a spot in Bibione can be a nightmare. The resort does get busy with families in July and August (I’m talking kids everywhere, pool games, the works), so if you’re looking for a quiet romantic getaway, maybe aim for late spring or early fall instead. The spa area is small but well-maintained, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the nearby Valgrande nature reserve or cycling along the coastal paths. Honestly, the bike rental situation here is pretty convenient too – they partner with a local shop right on Via Maja. One minor quirk: the elevators are incredibly slow, so if you’re on the upper floors, factor in some extra time. But the sea views from those higher rooms? Absolutely worth the wait. The whole experience feels authentically Italian without being pretentious, and with ratings consistently around 8 out of 10, it’s clear other guests feel the same way I do about this place.

The lady at the reception was very kind to us as we were late for the check in and still let all docs prepared for us so that we could get the keys and park the car. The bed was very comfortable.
A very good place for people going in vacation with their dogs as they are petfriendly.

Close to the sea with great views. Pool area very clean and maintained throughout the day. Bungalow was comfy. Beautiful setting, just off the main road but quiet and surrounded by trees.
Good location, not far from Pisa and a bus stop outside.

Lovely little stay to break up our ten day trip, it was the relaxation we needed and great value for money with the pool on site and the beach a stones throw away, although rocky it was still lovely to walk there at night time.
