Verde Valley One-Bedroom Park Model Cabin 13
First Impressions
The Verde Valley One-Bedroom Park Model Cabin 13 sits tucked away in Cottonwood on a sprawling property that honestly feels more like a private retreat than your typical vacation rental. When I first pulled up to this four-star spot, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a “park model cabin” — but it’s actually a surprisingly well-appointed little home that strikes this perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. The parking situation is refreshingly simple here, with plenty of space right outside your door, which you’ll appreciate after navigating some of Arizona’s winding mountain roads.
The Space Itself
Step inside and you’ll find a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom layout that maximizes every square foot without feeling cramped. The room flows naturally from the living area, and there’s this cozy kitchen that’s actually equipped with everything you need if you want to cook — I mean, after exploring Sedona all day, sometimes you just want to grab groceries and make a simple dinner at home. The whole place has this warm, cabin-like atmosphere with wood accents and comfortable furnishings that don’t feel like typical rental furniture. What really struck me was how quiet it gets here at night — you’re surrounded by nature but still have all the modern conveniences.
Location and Surroundings
Here’s what makes this place special: you’re positioned perfectly in Verde Valley, which puts you about 20 minutes from Sedona’s red rocks but without the tourist crowds and inflated prices. Cottonwood itself is this charming little town that locals actually live in, with some surprisingly good restaurants and that authentic Arizona small-town vibe. The property sits on Thousand Trails Road, and honestly, the location gets an 8.5 rating from guests for good reason — you’ve got easy access to hiking trails, wine tasting in the area, and you can even day-trip to places like Jerome or Flagstaff.
What Sets It Apart
The thing about staying here is that it feels like you’re getting a genuine Arizona experience rather than just another hotel room. Mornings are particularly magical — you can sit outside with your coffee and actually hear birds instead of traffic. The cabin’s design makes it feel more like a temporary home than a rental, which I think explains why couples rate it so highly. There’s something about having your own little space in the desert that just works for romantic getaways or even solo retreats when you need to disconnect from everything.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back here because it delivers on that promise of peaceful desert living without sacrificing comfort. The 7.8 rating reflects what you’d expect — it’s not trying to be an upscale resort, but it absolutely nails what it sets out to do. You get the privacy and tranquility of being tucked away in Verde Valley, plus you’re still close enough to explore all the attractions that bring people to this part of Arizona. It’s the kind of place where you might plan to stay two nights and end up wishing you’d booked four.
To book resort village stays near the coast, guests plan ahead for private pools and kids clubs by the lagoon.

Very great and cheerful and smiling people are working there! Thanks a lot for your help and welcoming.
Also, the hot tub was great. The heating system works properly, and everything that we need we had in our cabin.
It was small but cute.
Denise
It was good. A little smaller than expected.
No internet unless you pay for it. I paid
For 1 night of internet it never worked and the company they use never returned my phone call.
Edith
Was stocked pretty well. Guy at gate was friendly.

was very clean. Staff working there were very nice and it was fun to have BBQ outside the cabin. There are Walmart and other stores nearby so it is very convenient. The only downfall is that there is no wifi as well as internet in the room so you need to purchase it or go to the community room. I would definitely use it again.. 30 min from Sedona...
