Two Shores Holiday Village

Two Shores Holiday Village Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Two Shores Holiday Village on Wilfred Barrett Drive, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes these unassuming spots surprise you, and this one really delivered. The whole setup sits right there at The Entrance North, and I mean literally minutes from where the lake meets the ocean – which is actually the whole point of this little coastal town’s name, if you didn’t know.
What struck me first was how quiet it felt despite being so close to everything. You’re basically a short walk from the main strip where all the pelican feeding happens (and trust me, that’s worth seeing at least once), but the holiday village itself has this laid-back, almost residential vibe. The accommodation blocks are spread out nicely – not crammed together like some places I’ve stayed – and there’s actually decent parking, which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling coolers and beach gear around. The units themselves are clean and functional, nothing fancy but honestly everything you need for a proper beach holiday. I appreciated that the kitchenettes were actually usable, not just for show, because let’s face it – eating out for every meal gets expensive fast, especially with kids.
The real win here is the location, though not in that generic “convenient location” way travel sites always drone on about. I’m talking about being able to walk to Tuggerah Lake for the calmer water and fishing spots, then easily drive five minutes to the ocean beaches when you want proper waves. The kids loved feeding the pelicans down at Memorial Park – happens every afternoon around 3:30, and it’s free entertainment that never gets old. Plus you’re close enough to Terrigal if you want the fancier restaurant scene, but far enough away to avoid the weekend crowds and parking nightmares. What I didn’t expect was how well the staff knew the area – they pointed us toward some great fishing spots that weren’t in any guidebook, and gave us the heads up about which beaches had the gentlest surf for the little ones. The place runs smoothly too; check-in was straightforward, no drama, and maintenance actually responds when something needs fixing. Sure, it’s not luxury – the furnishings are a bit dated and you’ll hear your neighbors occasionally – but for a proper family beach holiday where you want value and a genuine Central Coast experience without the tourist trap prices, Two Shores hits the mark. That 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re actually getting for your money.

The two bedder cabin was very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. Very family orientated place to stay. The kids could feed the ducks and the opportunity to fish right in front of the verandah. The sunset views are amazing for that arvo wind down bevvie.

Simple, modern and very clean waterfront cabin with an incredible view from the front porch. This was a cabin (cabin 4) that allows dogs and it was spotless and fresh - I’d recommend to even those without pets. Our dogs loved it too - there are plenty of grounds to walk your dog on leash, plus the dog beach across the road and a big green space...
