Tasman Holiday Parks – Albany
You know what caught me off guard about Tasman Holiday Parks – Albany? It’s actually right in town on Wellington Street, not stuck out in some industrial park like most holiday parks. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from Albany’s main strip, which is honestly pretty rare for this type of accommodation. The whole setup feels more like a well-run neighborhood than your typical caravan park.
The thing is, Albany’s got this interesting mix going on – you’ve got serious history buffs coming for the ANZAC stuff, families wanting beach access, and people using it as a base for the Stirling Ranges. This place handles all of that surprisingly well. The cabins are actually solid (not those flimsy things you sometimes get) and the powered sites aren’t crammed together like sardines. What I really appreciated was the quiet hours being properly enforced – you know how some places just put up signs but don’t follow through? These guys actually care about people getting sleep. The amenities block is clean without being sterile, and honestly, the water pressure in the showers is better than half the hotels I’ve stayed in.
Here’s what really works about the location though – you can walk to Woolies for supplies, grab decent coffee on York Street, and you’re maybe ten minutes’ drive from both Middleton Beach and the harbour area. The staff actually know Albany too, not just their own property. Asked about whale watching timing and got proper local advice, not just a brochure shoved at me. The whole place runs at about an 8.7 rating and I get it – it’s not trying to be fancy resort accommodation, but it nails what it’s supposed to do. Only real downside is that the good spots fill up quickly during whale season (June through October), so you can’t just rock up expecting availability. But honestly, for a 4-star holiday park that’s actually in walking distance of town rather than making you drive everywhere? Pretty solid choice, especially if you want the flexibility of self-contained accommodation without paying Albany’s frankly ridiculous hotel prices.
The best resort villages feature carefully designed properties that harmonize with their natural surroundings, offering guests authentic experiences combined with luxury amenities and exceptional hospitality.

Nice manager. We arrive quite late and can’t find how to get in, but manager come out very soon to help us. Thanks for his help as we have kids on the car and don’t want them to get panic during night time.
