Now, a few practical things – the road getting here is winding and can be a bit nerve-wracking if you’re not used to Turkish mountain driving, but the resort arranges transfers from Bodrum airport that are worth every lira. Cell service can be spotty in some of the lower villas (honestly, some people see this as a feature). And while the 8.9 rating is well-deserved, you’re paying serious money for the privilege – this isn’t a place for budget-conscious travelers. But if you’re looking to properly disconnect on Turkey’s coast without sacrificing comfort, and you want to skip the scene-y spots that everyone else hits, Kaplankaya delivers something genuinely special. Just don’t expect bustling nightlife – the closest real town is a 20-minute drive, and that’s exactly the point.
