HOTEL OVERVIEW
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Side Star Elegance – I mean, you know how these ultra all-inclusive places can feel a bit factory-like sometimes. But this one actually surprised me in the best way. It sits right in Kumköy, which is this perfect sweet spot about ten minutes from the main Side ruins but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tour bus chaos every morning. The moment you walk into that lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the design here – marble everywhere, but not the cold kind that echoes, more like the warm honey-colored stuff that makes you want to run your hands along it.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to handle the crowds without making it feel like a cruise ship on land. The property is massive, sure, but they’ve broken it up with these little courtyards and garden areas where you can actually find some quiet. The main pool area gets pretty lively (especially around 2 PM when the pool games start – fair warning if that’s not your thing), but there are these smaller pools tucked away near the family suites that hardly anyone seems to know about. The beach access is solid too – you’re walking maybe three minutes through some pine trees, and then boom, you’re on this gorgeous stretch of sand that connects to the main Side beach. Pro tip: head left when you hit the water and walk about five minutes – there’s this little cove area that’s usually empty in the mornings.
The food situation is where they really shine, which honestly can make or break these all-inclusive experiences. Instead of one giant buffet nightmare, they’ve got like six different restaurants, and the Turkish breakfast spread at the main one is absolutely ridiculous in the best way – fresh börek, about fifteen types of cheese, honey that’s clearly local, and this bread that’s still warm at 7 AM. The à la carte restaurants require reservations, but the staff at the guest relations desk (right next to the lobby bar) will sort you out if you ask nicely. I’d skip the Italian place – honestly, it’s fine but nothing special – and go straight for the seafood restaurant. It’s right on the beach, and they do this whole grilled octopus thing that’s worth the trip alone. The rooms are what you’d expect from a proper five-star – spacious, clean, and the air conditioning actually works (crucial in July heat). Just know that rooms facing the main pool can get a bit noisy until about 11 PM, but the garden-view ones are dead quiet. With that 8.9 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after spending a week there, I get it – it’s one of those places that manages to feel both relaxing and engaging without trying too hard.

This hotel is close to the side antique. Around there’s a lot of bars, restaurants. Hotel is clean have a big territory. Food and drinks was quite ok. We liked a lot the small Italian restaurant. Working people are mega friendly 👍☺️ Thd beach is clean.
