HOTEL OVERVIEW
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Turkish hotels over the years, and Side Royal Palace honestly surprised me in the best way. When you first pull up to this place in Evrenseki – which is basically Side’s quieter cousin about 10 minutes east of the main ancient ruins – you get this immediate sense that they actually thought about the details. The lobby has this grand marble thing going on, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious like some of these five-star places can.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to balance that resort feel with actually being useful for exploring the area. I mean, you’re close enough to walk to some decent local restaurants (there’s this little place called Meydan Lokantası about 15 minutes away that does incredible gözleme), but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually hear the waves at night instead of street vendors shouting. The beach situation is solid too – they’ve got their own stretch that’s way less crowded than the main Side beach, and honestly, the sand quality is better. I spent most mornings there before the day-trippers started rolling in around 11.
The rooms are where this place really delivers on that 8.7 rating. I had a sea view room on the fourth floor, and you know what? The balcony was actually big enough to sit on with your morning coffee – not one of those tiny ledges some places try to pass off. The AC worked properly (crucial in July), and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually block light, which is rarer than you’d think. The bathroom was spacious with good water pressure, though I’ll be honest – the shower doors are a bit wonky and leak a tiny bit onto the floor. Not a dealbreaker, just something you notice after a few days. Room service was surprisingly quick, and the staff genuinely seemed to remember your name after the first day, which makes a difference when you’re staying for a week. The pools get busy around 2 PM when families are taking breaks from the beach, but early morning and evening swims are perfect. If you’re the type who likes to explore beyond the resort bubble, the dolmuş stop is literally a 5-minute walk, and you can get to Manavgat market or Side’s ancient theater without needing to rent a car or deal with overpriced hotel shuttles.

The swimming pool inside is hot in winter and the outside one was also heated to 27•, the people are very professional and the room are comfy. The pool is clean and big.

Hotel is situated a few hundred meters from the beach, shuttle service is available. Hotel staff incl reception, animators, waiters are friendly and helpful. Cleanness is a top priority at the hotel incl. the beach part as well. Good programs for small kids. Food is good and various. Evening events are also fine.
