Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Turkish resort hotels, and honestly? The Saphir Hotel & Villas in Konaklı caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know that feeling when you pull up somewhere and think “okay, this might actually be worth the hype” – that’s exactly what happened here. The place sits right on Ahmet Salih Saf Street, which sounds fancy but it’s actually this quiet little road that winds down toward the coast, away from the main tourist chaos of Alanya proper.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between luxury and actually feeling comfortable. I mean, sure, it’s got the five-star treatment – the lobby smells like that perfect mix of sea salt and whatever expensive diffuser they’re running – but the staff doesn’t make you feel like you need to whisper or worry about your flip-flops on the marble. The villas especially are something else; they’re spread out enough that you’re not hearing your neighbor’s kids at 6 AM (learned that lesson the hard way at other places), and each one has this little terrace situation that catches the morning light perfectly. The pools – because there are several, not just one massive crowded one – stay surprisingly clean even during peak summer madness, which tells you something about how they run things behind the scenes.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I went: the beach access is actually better than some of the more famous spots along this stretch of coast, but you’ll want to grab your spot early if you’re there in July or August. The restaurant situation is solid too – they do this Turkish breakfast spread that’ll ruin hotel breakfasts for you everywhere else, and their dinner setup changes themes throughout the week, which sounds gimmicky but actually works. Parking was never an issue, which is honestly a relief because navigating rental cars around here can be… well, let’s just say it’s an adventure. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not perfect (the WiFi gets a bit spotty in some of the farther villas, and the evening entertainment can get loud if you’re trying to wind down early), but the things they do well, they really do well. If you’re looking for that balance of Turkish hospitality without feeling like you’re in a tourist factory, and you want to be close enough to explore Alanya’s old town but far enough away to actually relax, this place delivers.

The pool chairs are taken very quickly so get in early. But the hotel itself is very good. Great service. Food is amazing so are all the pools and beachside. Good location great atmosphere. Worth it. Drinks on tap and food.
