Regatta Point Holiday Park

Regatta Point Holiday Park Overview
You know what? Regatta Point Holiday Park isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. I mean, when you pull up to 35 Regatta Point Road, you’re not getting some fancy resort lobby with marble floors – you’re getting a proper Aussie holiday park that actually understands what people want when they come to Bermagui. The whole place has this relaxed, no-fuss vibe that kicks in the moment you arrive, and the staff at check-in are genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions.
What really gets me about this place is the location – and I’m not talking about some generic “convenient location” nonsense here. You’re literally perched right where you can smell the salt air coming off the ocean, and it’s close enough to Bermagui’s main strip that you can easily walk down for fish and chips or grab supplies without needing to drive everywhere. The park itself is well-maintained (something you can’t always count on with 3-star spots), and there’s actually decent space between sites so you’re not hearing every conversation your neighbors have. I’ve stayed during both school holidays and quieter times, and even when it’s busy, it never feels chaotic or overcrowded. The amenities are clean and functional – the kind of place where the showers have good water pressure and the laundry facilities actually work properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.
What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to keep that authentic holiday park feel without letting standards slip. The grounds have these lovely established trees that provide actual shade (crucial during summer), and there’s something really satisfying about hearing the morning birds rather than traffic noise when you wake up. It’s popular with families, but not in an overwhelming way – more like the kind of place where kids can ride bikes around safely while parents actually relax for once. The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not luxury, but it’s solid, reliable, and run by people who clearly care about the experience. Plus, you’re in Bermagui – which means you’re close to some genuinely beautiful coastal walks and decent fishing spots that haven’t been completely overrun by tourists yet. If you’re looking for somewhere that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, this place hits the mark pretty well.

The location was excellent, our cabin was right on beautiful Wallaga Lake, we were able to watch the sunset over the lake from our deck.
The cabin was spotless, recently renovated, and well-equipped with everything g we needed for our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were high quality.

The view of the lake was lovely. We really appreciated the noise curfew; allowing us to rest after big days. The cabin was well equipped with comfortable furnishings. And the tv was a nice touch! What could be improved: The lighting in the living room wasn't very bright. There was rubbish right outside our balcony. Cobwebs in the bathroom mainly...

Lovely location, view of Gulaga and the lake and so quiet
