Reflections Seal Rocks – Holiday Park
Reflections Seal Rocks – Holiday Park Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Reflections Seal Rocks? I wasn’t expecting a holiday park to feel this polished – I mean, when someone says “holiday park” I’m usually thinking basic cabins and communal bathrooms, but this place actually surprised me. Tucked down Kinka Road (which, honestly, you might miss the turn if you’re not paying attention), it sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the ocean but far enough back that you’re not dealing with constant wind and salt spray on everything.
The whole setup here is pretty clever, actually. They’ve managed to create this laid-back holiday park vibe without the usual chaos you get at some of these places – you know, screaming kids at 6am and people dragging esky coolers across gravel at all hours. The accommodations range from your standard camping spots to these surprisingly decent cabins that don’t feel like you’re roughing it. I stayed in one of their better units and honestly, the kitchen was better equipped than my apartment back home (though that’s not saying much, but still). What really sold me was stepping out in the morning with my coffee and realizing how quiet it gets here – just bird sounds and that distant ocean hum. The staff seem to actually live in the area too, which makes a difference when you need recommendations. They pointed me toward this little beach access track that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it beats fighting for parking at the main Seal Rocks beach entrance.
The location is what makes this place work, really. Smiths Lake is one of those spots that locals have been keeping semi-quiet – it’s not completely undiscovered, but it hasn’t been Instagram-ed to death either. You’re about ten minutes from the actual Seal Rocks (the lighthouse and all that), but you can also just walk down to Smiths Lake itself, which is perfect if you’ve got kids or you’re not up for dealing with ocean surf. The lake is stupidly calm most of the time, and there’s this little boat ramp where you’ll see people launching kayaks early in the morning. I ended up chatting with this guy who’d been coming here for fifteen years – apparently the fishing is ridiculous if you know what you’re doing, though I can’t vouch for that personally. The only real downside is that if you’re expecting resort-style amenities, you might be disappointed. This is more about the location and that relaxed holiday park atmosphere than fancy facilities. But honestly? That’s kind of the point. Sometimes you just want somewhere clean and comfortable where you can actually hear yourself think, and this place delivers on that without making you feel like you’re camping in someone’s backyard.

Beautiful location with breathtaking views of the ocean and beach. Felt like a private oasis.

The common areas are SPECTACULAR and they had organisd a guy to play music which was great. Park was also great.
What could be improved: Cabin was a bit wonky in some areas (not a lot of utensils or suitable bowls for cooking, bathroom was tiny) but its all made up for by the awesome balcony space and general vibe.

Location is stunning. Peaceful and beautiful.
What could be improved: Our cabin was not as premier as the description and in need of a good deep clean and attention. Lots of kitchen bits missing from inventory. So rather overpriced. But it's the location and peace that we went for
Susan from Australia (December 12, 2023)
The beach, walking trails
What could be improved: Smell of sewage treatment plant in close proximity to glamping tent
Smell prominent of a night

Lovely spacious cabin with stunning sea view and sizeable terrace outside. The communal areas including BBQ spaces are beautifully maintained and the location of the park is perfect , 10 minutes walk from the main seal rocks village. Staff friendly. What could be improved: Overall the cabin was clean but some areas could be improved, thick layers...
