Reflections Red Rock – Holiday Park

HOTEL OVERVIEW
Honestly, when I first pulled up to Reflections Red Rock on Lawson Street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star holiday park – but this place actually surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes you book somewhere thinking it’s just a place to crash, and then it ends up being way better than you imagined? That’s exactly what happened here.
The thing about Red Rock is that it’s this little coastal gem that most people drive past on their way to bigger destinations, which is honestly their loss. Reflections sits right in the heart of town (well, I mean, Red Rock’s not exactly sprawling), and you’re literally a five-minute walk from that gorgeous beach everyone raves about. The holiday park itself has this relaxed, unpretentious vibe – none of that overly polished resort nonsense, just clean, comfortable accommodation that actually feels welcoming. The cabins are well-maintained without being fancy, and I loved that you could hear the ocean from some of the sites when the wind was right. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no pretentious lobby drama, just friendly staff who actually knew the area and gave me decent recommendations for dinner.
What really won me over was the little details that showed someone actually cares about this place. The communal BBQ areas are spotless and well-equipped (seriously, proper hotplates that actually work), there’s decent parking without the usual holiday park sardine-can situation, and the amenities block was clean every time I used it – which, let’s be honest, can make or break your whole experience at places like this. The location is pretty perfect if you’re exploring this stretch of coast – you’ve got the Coffs Coast just south, and some genuinely beautiful, less-crowded beaches within easy driving distance. I spent most evenings just walking around Red Rock itself, which has this authentic fishing village feel that hasn’t been completely touristified yet. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. You’re paying for a solid, well-run place in a beautiful spot, and that’s exactly what you get – no hidden fees, no disappointments, just good value accommodation that lets you enjoy one of the prettier parts of the NSW coast without breaking the bank.

The location and the holiday park itself were absolutely fantastic! Amazing location with so much to do, so beautiful and the staff were so friendly. This was the best holiday we’ve had in years! We will definitely be back! ❤️ What could be improved: The double bed in the cabin was just a touch too small (my partners legs were hanging off the end)...
