What I really appreciated was how the owners (you can tell they actually live on-site) have thought about the little things that matter when you’re traveling. The cabin we stayed in had enough power outlets – sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong – and the kitchenette was actually functional, not just for show. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with springs all night, which honestly puts it ahead of some fancier places I’ve stayed.

What really works about this spot is its location in Pinjarra itself. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the town center, which is handy for grabbing supplies or a decent coffee at one of the local cafés. If you’re into history stuff, the old Pinjarra courthouse and some of the heritage buildings are right there – perfect for an evening stroll. And if you’re here during the warmer months, you’re close enough to the Murray River for a swim or just to sit by the water. The caravan park side of things means there’s always a bit of activity during the day – families coming and going, people setting up camp – but it quiets down nicely in the evenings.

The whole place has this relaxed, unpretentious vibe that’s hard to fake. Check-in was straightforward (no complicated key card systems or anything), parking is right outside your cabin, and there’s enough space between units that you’re not listening to your neighbors’ conversations. For families, there’s a playground that actually looks maintained, and I noticed they have decent amenities blocks for the caravan sites that looked spotless. It’s the kind of place where you can tell the owners take pride in what they’re doing without making a big show of it. At an 8.0 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most people, and I can see why – sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just do the basics really well.
