You’re maybe fifteen minutes from Flinders Chase National Park, and honestly, being based in Parndana means you can actually get to the Remarkable Rocks or Admirals Arch early enough to beat the tour bus crowds – trust me on this one. The staff mentioned that a lot of guests use this as their base for photographing the island, and I can see why. You’ve got that central location without the tourist village atmosphere of some other spots. I will say the reception area keeps pretty standard hours, so if you’re planning a late arrival, definitely call ahead. Oh, and there’s a decent little general store within walking distance if you need supplies, though the selection’s obviously limited – this is proper country Australia, after all.
