I mean, the 7.8 rating might not scream “perfect paradise,” but sometimes those mid-range scores are more honest than the inflated tens, and this place definitely delivers on what it promises.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to feel upscale without being pretentious – you can walk through in flip-flops after the beach without getting side-eye. The rooms are spacious (way more than I expected for a Turkish resort), and the air conditioning actually works, which honestly saved my sanity during those sweltering July afternoons. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families stake out their spots, but if you’re an early riser like me, you’ll have it practically to yourself with your morning coffee. The food situation is solid too – not mind-blowing, but way better than the typical resort buffet fare. Their Turkish breakfast spread is where they really shine, though I’d skip the dinner buffet and venture into Kemer town instead, which is maybe a 10-minute walk down the main drag.

Here’s the thing about the location – you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the chaos of central Kemer. The beach is literally across the street (well, Ataturk Bulvari, but it’s not exactly busy), and you can hear the waves from some of the rooms if you’re lucky with your assignment. The mountains backdrop is pretty spectacular too, especially at sunset when the whole place gets this golden glow. Sure, it’s not the fanciest resort on the Turkish Riviera, and the WiFi can be spotty in the evenings when everyone’s trying to upload their beach photos, but there’s something refreshingly genuine about Orange County Kemer. It feels like a place where you can actually relax rather than constantly worrying about whether you’re doing luxury “right.” Plus, the staff remembers your name by day two, which is rarer than you’d think at places like this.
