They’ll point you toward the local market on Saturday mornings (it’s fantastic, by the way), or suggest dinner spots that aren’t just tourist traps. Parking isn’t an issue here like it is down by the beach – there’s space right on the property, which is honestly a huge relief during July and August when the coast gets absolutely packed. The only thing I’d mention is that you’ll want a car to get around easily, since you’re a bit removed from the main action. But that trade-off is so worth it for the peace and quiet, especially if you’re trying to escape the usual resort scene. I’ve stayed at plenty of cookie-cutter beach hotels along this stretch of coast, and they all blur together after a while. This place actually sticks with you – I still think about those quiet morning coffees under the olive trees.
