Luxurious caravan in Lyons Holiday Park Rhyl

HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first heard about staying in a caravan at Lyons Holiday Park – I mean, it sounds like something your nan would suggest for a budget weekend. But this place completely changed my mind about what a “luxurious caravan” could actually be. It’s tucked right on Rhyl Coast Road in Meliden, and once you’re inside, you’ll forget you’re technically in a mobile home because the attention to detail is absolutely spot-on.
The thing that struck me immediately was how thoughtfully everything’s been done. The interior doesn’t feel cramped at all (and I’m usually claustrophobic in small spaces), and there’s this surprising sense of luxury in the finishes – proper quality bedding, not the scratchy stuff you’d expect, and a kitchen that’s actually functional rather than just for show. What really sets it apart though is the location within the park itself. You’re close enough to hear the waves from the coast, but far enough back that you don’t get the constant traffic noise from the main road. I stayed there during a busy August weekend and was amazed at how peaceful it felt, especially in the evenings when the families with kids had settled down.
The whole experience feels more like glamping than traditional caravan holidays, honestly. The owners have clearly spent time thinking about what actually matters to guests – there’s proper water pressure in the shower (thank god), decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the heating works brilliantly, which matters more than you’d think on the Welsh coast where it can get chilly even in summer. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that corporate hotel rigmarole. What I really appreciated was the parking situation – you’ve got your own dedicated spot right by your caravan, so you’re not circling around looking for a space like at some of the bigger holiday parks further down the coast. If you’re heading to Rhyl anyway, this gives you all the seaside access without the crowds and noise of staying right in town. It’s the sort of place that makes you rethink what a proper getaway looks like – sometimes the best luxury is just having everything work exactly as it should, in a spot where you can actually relax.

We really couldn't fault the property and there was more than enough room for the 5 of us. One of the beds was a sofa bed which wasn't a problem at all and I was.told it was very comfortable. The caravan itself was spotlessly clean and was obviously well looked after. All of the provisions that we needed (we only needed to take our own towels) were...

The caravan was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The host promptly responded to any queries. The situation was close enough to amenities, but far enough not to be disturbed by noise. We would definitely stay again.
