Lo Geisha Caravan Rental at Whitley Bay Caravan Park

HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what? I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first heard about Lo Geisha – I mean, a Japanese-themed caravan rental right on Blyth Road in Whitley Bay honestly sounds like someone’s quirky experiment that could either be brilliant or completely bizarre. Turns out it’s absolutely brilliant. The moment you step inside, you’re transported into this incredibly thoughtful space that somehow manages to blend authentic Japanese aesthetics with the cozy charm of a well-designed caravan. The attention to detail is genuinely impressive – we’re talking proper tatami-style flooring, sliding shoji screens, and this beautiful low table setup that makes you want to linger over tea for hours. What really got me though was how peaceful it felt, even with the occasional sound of traffic from Blyth Road (which honestly isn’t bad at all, especially at night).
The location is actually perfect if you know Whitley Bay – you’re literally a five-minute walk to the seafront and Spanish City, but tucked away enough in the caravan park that you get this sense of being somewhere special and separate. The park itself is well-maintained and surprisingly quiet, with decent parking right outside your door. I loved being able to grab fish and chips from Krimo’s down the road and bring them back to eat properly at that gorgeous low table – it felt like having a picnic indoors. The shower situation is compact but totally functional (you know how caravan bathrooms can be), and honestly, the whole setup is so cleverly designed that you never feel cramped.
What really sets this place apart – and I think this is why it’s got that 9.3 rating – is that it’s clearly someone’s passion project rather than just another rental property. Every element feels intentional, from the carefully chosen lighting to the way the space flows. It’s boutique in the truest sense, not because it’s expensive or pretentious, but because someone actually cared about creating something unique. If you’re the type who gets excited about staying somewhere with real character rather than just a standard hotel room, this is your spot. Fair warning though – it books up fast, especially during summer when everyone’s heading to the coast, so don’t sleep on it if the dates work.

Everything about Lo Geisha was what we were hoping for and more! It was home from home, everything you needed was provided for. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The shower was quite powerful... lovely! The decking was a lovely surprise, the sun shone the whole time we were there so it was lovely to sit out in the evening. Thank you for making...
