The pasta dishes are legit good, which honestly surprised me in a town this size, and they source a lot of ingredients locally so everything tastes like… well, like it’s supposed to taste.

What really won me over was how the staff – actually, I think most of them are family members – treat you like you’re staying with relatives rather than paying customers. They’ll give you the real scoop on where to hike nearby (there are some amazing trails through the surrounding forests that most tourists never find), when the local markets happen, and honestly just chat with you over coffee like normal humans. The whole operation runs smoothly without feeling corporate or scripted, which is refreshing. Parking’s easy, check-in is relaxed, and if you need recommendations for exploring the area – maybe hitting up some of the Mapuche communities nearby or finding the best empanadas in town – they actually know what they’re talking about. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying an extra night just because you’re comfortable and the morning coffee on the little porch outside your cabaña hits different when you’re not rushing to catch a tour bus somewhere.
