The breakfast isn’t anything fancy – standard French continental stuff – but they source their bread from the bakery just down the street, and I mean, when you’re in Brittany, that matters. I stayed here during mussel season in September, and while the town gets busy during lunch hours with day-trippers from Mont Saint-Michel, evenings are blissfully quiet. You’ll fall asleep to the sound of water lapping against the harbor walls, which beats traffic noise any day. For what you pay and where you are – practically in the lap of one of France’s most authentic fishing ports – it’s a solid choice that won’t break the bank.
