Le Petit Robinson
Le Petit Robinson Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Le Petit Robinson, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this three-star spot tucked away in the Burgundy countryside. But you know what? Sometimes the most unassuming places surprise you the most. The property sits quietly in La Copine, just outside Champvert, and there’s something immediately calming about the whole setup — like you’ve stumbled onto a well-kept local secret that most tourists never find.
The Setting
The location is actually what makes this place special, and I can see why couples rate it so highly. You’re surrounded by rolling green hills and that quintessential French countryside that looks like it belongs on a postcard, but without feeling touristy or overdone. The free private parking might sound like a small detail, but when you’re exploring rural Burgundy, it’s actually a huge relief — no circling around looking for spots or worrying about your car. I spent most evenings just walking the quiet roads around the property, and honestly, the peace out here is something you can’t put a price tag on.
Accommodations
My room was simple but thoughtfully arranged — clean lines, comfortable bedding, and those little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. The windows frame the countryside views perfectly, and I mean, waking up to that scenery each morning never got old. It’s not fancy or over-the-top, but everything works well and feels genuinely welcoming. The whole place has this relaxed, unpretentious vibe that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy being somewhere instead of rushing to the next attraction.
Local Charm
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know the area inside and out — they pointed me toward some incredible local wine producers and a few hiking trails that I never would have discovered on my own. Champvert itself is tiny, but that’s sort of the point. You’re close enough to explore bigger towns when you want culture or shopping, but far enough away that you can disconnect from everything and just breathe. The surrounding Morvan region has this wild, untouched quality that feels increasingly rare these days.
Why Guests Love It
I think couples especially connect with this place because it gives you space to focus on each other without a million distractions. There’s no bustling lobby or crowded pool area — just you, the countryside, and whatever pace you want to set for your days. The 8.4 rating makes perfect sense when you experience how everything here works together: the peaceful location, the genuine hospitality, and that sense of discovering something authentic. It’s the kind of place where you actually remember why you wanted to travel in the first place, instead of just checking boxes on some itinerary.
Travelers can book a resort that perfectly matches their vacation dreams, from beachfront properties to mountain retreats, ensuring every detail is crafted for maximum enjoyment and relaxation.

Mireille could not have been more helpful - there are a range of activities games etc on site and also you can rent bicycles etc. She is knowledgeable about the local area and has great suggestions. The site itself was very quiet (not many people when we were there) and a range of ages- grandparents, families, younger couples etc.

We stayed one night at Le Petit Robinson on a Eurovelo 6 cycle trip. We were quite pleased with our stay here as it was a change from hotel rooms. Our cabin was small but perfectly adequate with cooking facilities. There was a bike storage shed but our bikes were perfectly safe chained directly to the cabin. The staff said that they get many...

Our camping teepee was just lovely, clean, warm and had everything that we could need. Breakfast delivered to the door in a little basket each morning. Wish we could have stayed longer, just perfect.
