You know what? I almost drove right past Jenny and Jamie’s place the first time I went looking for it. It’s tucked away in this corner of Ocean Edge Leisure Park that honestly feels more like stumbling into someone’s actual neighborhood than checking into accommodation. The thing is, that’s exactly what makes it work so well. When you pull up to their holiday home, you’re not dealing with some sterile reception desk or hunting for parking behind a coach full of tourists – you’re just… arriving at what genuinely feels like staying with friends who happen to have incredible taste and a prime spot right on Morecambe’s doorstep.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. Ocean Edge gets a bit of a mixed reputation because parts of it can feel quite busy during peak season, but Jenny and Jamie’s place sits on what I’d call the sweet spot of the park. You’re close enough to nip down to the beach in about two minutes flat, but far enough from the main entertainment areas that you won’t hear kids shrieking at the arcade until midnight. I mean, Morecambe Bay is right there – and I’m talking about those massive sunset views that make you stop mid-conversation and just stare. The park itself connects really nicely to the coastal path, so if you’re into walking (or just fancy a proper stretch after being in the car), you can head toward Hest Bank or even push on toward Carnforth if you’re feeling ambitious.

What really sets this place apart is how Jenny and Jamie have managed to create something that feels both polished and completely unpretentious. The house itself has this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at standard hotels – proper mugs for your morning coffee, books on the shelves that people have actually read, and a kitchen that’s clearly been designed by someone who cooks rather than just looks good in photos. The bedrooms are honestly lovely, with these little touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just convenient. There’s decent wifi throughout (always a relief), and the whole place stays surprisingly quiet even when the park gets busy. Check-in is refreshingly straightforward – none of that hovering around reception desks or juggling key cards that never work properly. They’ve got the parking sorted too, which might sound boring but trust me, it matters when you’re trying to unload after a long drive. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re not used to holiday parks, the layout can be a bit confusing at first – but honestly, that’s half the charm of the place.
