Jarrah Glen Cabins

Jarrah Glen Cabins Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Jarrah Glen Cabins? I’d driven down Rodda Road expecting just another roadside stop in Nannup, but honestly, this place feels like someone’s best-kept secret tucked away in proper jarrah forest. The moment you pull up – and yes, there’s plenty of parking right by your cabin, which matters when you’ve got luggage and groceries – you realize this isn’t your typical three-star accommodation. That 9.6 rating actually makes sense once you’re here.
The cabins themselves have this authentic timber feel that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by the trees they’re probably made from, so it works. What really got me was how quiet it gets at night – I’m talking proper country quiet where you can hear the forest settling around you. The interiors are surprisingly well thought out too. Someone clearly stayed in these places themselves before deciding on the layout, because everything’s where you’d actually want it to be. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show either; I actually cooked a decent meal without feeling like I was camping. Though honestly, if you’re here during jarrah flowering season (usually spring), you might want to keep windows closed at night unless you’re cool with a few extra winged visitors.
Here’s the thing about Nannup that most people don’t realize until they’re here – it’s not just a drive-through town on the way to somewhere else. The whole area around Rodda Road puts you right in the heart of proper South West forest country, and Jarrah Glen Cabins gets that. You’re close enough to walk into town for coffee or supplies, but far enough out that you feel like you’ve actually escaped somewhere. The hosts seem to understand that balance too; they’re around if you need them but they’re not hovering. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly complicated resort nonsense. I’d definitely come back, probably in autumn when the forest colors are doing their thing and the summer crowds have cleared out. Just bring decent coffee if you’re particular about it, because while the town’s got charm, the coffee scene is still catching up to places like Margaret River.

Lovely little cabin, exactly as described with little hospitable touches. We enjoyed watching the birds in the trees from the private spa. The cabins are set on a beautiful little farm with a variety of animals and wild kangaroos and emus nearby. Feeding the goats, cows and alpacas with the friendly host was a novelty and we enjoyed the fresh eggs...

Chalet was beautiful and clean with great amenities. The animals were great and came up close to be fed. Was great being able to walk around the property at our leisure. The hot tub was great. Hosts were very accommodating and went out of their way to help out. The inclusion of being able to purchase bread, eggs and firewood before arrival was...

Peaceful, clean and cosy cabin. Loved the private hot tub. Facilities were great. Loved the local wildlife / farm animals.
Would not hesitate to recommend the cabins.
What could be improved: Not a big deal, but the addition of WiFi would be nice - no Optus signal in the area.

This was our second visit to Jarrah Glen and it did not disappoint :-). We loved seeing and interacting with all the animals, especially Lucky the goat! The girls particularly enjoyed the feeding experiences and of course playing with Lexi and Kalli! It was great to sit around the fire and hear your interesting stories of travels, life and the...

The location was wonderful, our hosts were super obliging and friendly. The animals were super cute as well!
What could be improved: The route Google maps suggested was not amazing, so would be worth looking up alternatives ahead of time to avoid kilometres of dirt roads, especially after heavy rain.

The location is beautiful and private. We had amazing walks around the property and felt close enough to Nannup but a million miles away from everyone. The accommodations are unique, clean and have everything you need.
What could be improved: We loved everything.
