Ingenia Holidays Bermagui
Honestly, when I first pulled up to Ingenia Holidays Bermagui on Wallaga Lake Road, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the drive out there feels like you’re heading into proper bush country, but in the best possible way. It’s about ten minutes from Bermagui town center, which means you get that peaceful lakeside vibe without being completely cut off from decent coffee and fresh fish and chips.
The thing that struck me right away was how they’ve managed to keep that classic Australian holiday park feel while actually upgrading the important stuff. I mean, the cabins are genuinely comfortable – not the cramped, slightly musty affairs you sometimes get at these places. The beds are decent (and I’m picky about mattresses), there’s proper air conditioning that actually works, and the kitchenettes have everything you’d need if you want to cook up some of those beautiful flathead you might catch off the wharf. The park sits right on Wallaga Lake, and honestly, waking up to that view across the water with the escarpment in the background… it’s the kind of thing that makes you understand why people keep coming back to the Sapphire Coast year after year.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know the area – not just the tourist brochure stuff, but where the locals go fishing, which walking tracks are worth your time, and when the lake’s best for kayaking (early morning, by theway, before the afternoon winds pick up). The facilities are well-maintained without feeling sterile, and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be a fancy resort when what you really want is a clean, comfortable base for exploring one of NSW’s most underrated coastal regions. The playground keeps the kids happy, the boat ramp is properly maintained, and you’re close enough to both Bermagui’s excellent seafood scene and the stunning beaches around Wallaga Lake that you’ve got options whether you want civilization or solitude. It’s the sort of place that reminds you why the old-school Australian holiday still works – especially when it’s done this well.
Premium village resorts combine the charm of traditional village life with modern luxury accommodations, creating unique destinations where travelers can immerse themselves in local culture and relaxation.

Very close to the lake, and in a great spot to drive to the various beaches near. Close to drive to Bermagui or Narooma

Comfy main bed and linen, can't speak for the bunks, and shower and bathroom soaps were provided. Kids loved the playground by the lake and jumping cushion.

No oven limited our cooking options, and a dishwasher would have helped save some time. Otherwise it was an older yet clear and very functional cabin.

The walks were extremely thin, we could hear the slightest movement in the rooms next to each other. The noise from outside was also quite loud.
