Galeri Resort Hotel – Ultra All Inclusive

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Galeri Resort Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from another all-inclusive place in Okurcalar. But this spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked into that Alara tourism zone (you know, where all the big resorts cluster along the coastline), but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re just another tourist shuffling through a factory. The lobby hit me first – there’s this genuine warmth from the staff that you can tell isn’t rehearsed, and the marble floors actually stay cool under your feet even when it’s blazing outside.

What really got me was how they’ve managed the whole ultra all-inclusive thing without making it feel chaotic. I mean, you’ve got your usual suspects – multiple restaurants, bars scattered around, that massive pool area – but there’s this flow to the place that works. The main restaurant honestly serves better food than I expected (the Turkish breakfast alone is worth getting up early for), and the à la carte spots don’t make you feel like you’re begging for a reservation. The beach access is what sealed it for me though – it’s this gorgeous stretch where the Mediterranean actually looks like those postcard photos, and in the early morning before the crowds hit, you can hear nothing but waves and maybe some guy way down the beach calling to his kids in German or Russian.

The rooms are solid five-star without being stuffy about it. Mine faced the sea (totally worth the upgrade if you can swing it), and I loved that I could crack the balcony door at night and fall asleep to the sound of water. Air conditioning works like a dream – crucial when you’re dealing with Turkish summer heat. Staff genuinely seems to remember your name after a day or two, which is refreshing when you’re used to being just another room number. Only minor gripe? The WiFi gets a bit sketchy around the pool area when everyone’s trying to post their vacation photos, but honestly, maybe that’s not such a bad thing. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between luxury and actually feeling like you’re in Turkey (not just some generic resort bubble), this place nails it. Just book early if you’re planning a summer trip – word’s getting out about this one.
