Fistral fields 2

HOTEL OVERVIEW
So, Fistral Fields 2 – honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone, but this little gem tucked away in Newperran Holiday Park completely caught me off guard. You know how some places just have that feeling when you pull up? This is one of those spots where you immediately think “okay, someone actually put thought into this.” It’s not your typical holiday park accommodation (thank god), and while they don’t bother with official star ratings, the 8.9 guest rating tells you everything you need to know about what people think once they’ve actually stayed here.
The thing about Cubert is that most people speed right through it heading to Newquay or the bigger beaches, but you’re actually perfectly positioned here. Fistral Beach – the famous one where all the surfers hang out – is close enough that you can smell the salt air on windy days, but you’re not dealing with the summer crowds and frankly ridiculous parking situation down in Newquay proper. I mean, staying here means you get the best of both worlds: easy access to some of Cornwall’s most stunning coastline without the tourist trap chaos. The accommodation itself feels more like a boutique hideaway than typical holiday park fare – whoever designed this place clearly spent time in proper hotels and thought “why can’t holiday parks feel this good?” The attention to detail is what gets you; little touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just somewhere convenient.
What really sold me, though, was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You’re far enough from the main A3075 that traffic noise isn’t an issue, and the holiday park setting means there’s actually space to breathe – something you don’t always get along this stretch of the Cornish coast during peak season. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (none of that endless paperwork some places put you through), and parking’s never been an issue, which honestly is half the battle when you’re traveling with beach gear and supplies. The whole setup feels like someone took the best parts of boutique hotel design and made it work in a holiday park setting. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself booking for next year before you’ve even packed to leave – and trust me, along this part of the Cornwall coast, that’s saying something.

Really spacious, very clean, short drive to lots of beaches and activities in Cornwall. I did notice a bus stop right outside the caravan park for those who don’t drive. There are also some onsite activities you can use, which I hadn’t realised, we found out because the hot water wasn’t working and we went to reception to get it fixed.
