Cozee Stays Holiday Home

HOTEL OVERVIEW
So I stumbled across Cozee Stays Holiday Home last summer when I was desperately searching for somewhere decent to crash in Rhyl that wasn’t your typical chain hotel nightmare. Honestly, the name had me a bit worried – you know how places that try too hard with the cutesy spelling can go either way – but this little gem on Robin Hood coast road actually delivers on that cozy promise.
The thing is, this isn’t technically a hotel at all, which explains why you won’t find it plastered with those generic star ratings. It’s more like staying at someone’s really well-sorted holiday house, if that someone happened to have excellent taste and actually cared about their guests’ comfort. The location is pretty brilliant actually – you’re literally a stone’s throw from the beach (I mean it, you can hear the waves at night), but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main seafront drag. Robin Hood coast road itself is one of those quieter stretches where locals actually walk their dogs, and there’s this brilliant little café about two minutes down the road that does proper Welsh breakfasts if you can’t be bothered with the kitchen.
Speaking of which – and this is where it gets good – each room feels like an actual home. The beds are those memory foam situations that you sink into after a day of getting battered by Welsh coastal winds, and they’ve clearly put thought into the lighting instead of just slapping in those harsh overhead bulbs that make you look like death. I was there during what turned out to be a pretty busy weekend (apparently there was some vintage car rally happening), but the place never felt cramped or loud. The couple running it – and I’m pretty sure they live on-site – seem to know exactly when to be helpful and when to leave you alone, which is honestly an art form in hospitality.
What really sold me though was the attention to those little details that actually matter when you’re traveling. Proper blackout curtains for people like me who can’t sleep with any light creeping in, decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound random but hear me out – really good WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes when you’re trying to plan your next day’s adventure. The whole place has this relaxed vibe that makes you want to stick around longer than planned, which I suppose explains that 8.7 rating it’s got going.
You’re also perfectly positioned to explore beyond Rhyl if that’s your thing – the coast road connects you straight to some gorgeous stretches toward Prestatyn, and if you fancy a proper hike, the Clwydian Range is close enough for a day trip. But honestly, I found myself just enjoying the slower pace here, grabbing fish and chips from the decent place down the road and watching the sunset from what passes for a garden area. It’s that rare find where the quirky independent vibe actually works instead of just being an excuse for shabby service.

The caravan was nice although there was a slight smell as though someone had been sick the night before in the main bedroom and the person who had stayed there the night before knocked on asking if his charger had been left which we found a little odd as it hadnt. However, the caravan was clean and what you would expect.

Caravan was lovely and clean, nice and roomy as well. A separate toilet to shower was excellent.
All the beds were very comfortable- and the living room was spacious for a caravan with lots of seating.

We would of loved to stay for longer if we didnt have other plans and will absolutely be returning at some point as there is lots of other places we want to explore. It's a lovely caravan. It was my first holiday in a caravan ever and I got to bring my 3 children to it. Location to the main venue was within walking distance so ideal. I had an issue and had to communicate with the owner, Alan. He was fantastically helpful and understanding. I highly recommend it to anyone, unless you're sensitive to noise with...
