Crows Nest Caravan Park
First Impressions
When I first pulled into Crows Nest Caravan Park, I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like a basic caravan site. But this four-star spot near Filey completely changed my perspective on what a holiday park could be. The setting is genuinely stunning, perched on elevated ground that gives you these sweeping views across the Yorkshire coast that you just don’t get at your typical seaside accommodation.
Location & Setting
The location in Gristhorpe is actually brilliant — you’re close enough to Filey to pop down for fish and chips or a proper seaside walk, but far enough away to escape the summer crowds. What really struck me was how couples seem to gravitate here, and I can see why. There’s something quite romantic about watching the sunset from your pitch with those uninterrupted coastal views stretching out before you. The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too — no hunting around for spaces or worrying about fees, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to relax.
The Accommodation
I stayed in one of their static caravans, and the quality surprised me. The room layouts are thoughtfully designed, making the most of the space without feeling cramped. The kitchen was properly equipped — not just the bare minimum you sometimes get at holiday parks. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to cleanliness and the fact that everything actually worked. It sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case at similar places along this stretch of coast.
Facilities & Atmosphere
The park has this relaxed, almost village-like atmosphere that develops, especially in the evenings when people are out walking their dogs or chatting by their caravans. There’s a small on-site shop that stocks the essentials, which means you don’t have to trek into town every time you run out of milk. The facilities are well-maintained — I mean, they’re not fancy, but they’re clean and functional, which is really what matters. The whole place has this unpretentious charm that makes it easy to unwind properly.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back here is the combination of those spectacular views and the genuine sense of peace you get. It’s the kind of place where you actually slow down — no rushing around trying to tick off tourist attractions, just proper downtime with some of the best coastal scenery in Yorkshire as your backdrop. The fact that it consistently gets such high ratings from guests tells you everything, really. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does — providing a comfortable, scenic base for exploring this beautiful part of the coast — it does exceptionally well.
Experience exceptional vacation village resorts that feature spacious villas, recreational facilities, and personalized services designed to create memorable family holidays and romantic getaways.

They have many activities like kids' parties with prices, a pool with worm water for 3£, a circus is 5 minutes away, a playground area, I don't know what else should I add but kids ware excited.

The location is fantastic! We found incredible walking paths and had a wonderful time on foot, wandering the coast line. We enjoyed the bar, great layout and very welcoming.

Caravan lovely and modern but cramped for space in bedrooms, especially twin one. Well equipped but only small frypan . Would have preferred large one for cooking for family. Had to use big saucepan.. Beds very comfortable..
