Central Caravan Park

Central Caravan Park Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Central Caravan Park on Central Avenue, I wasn’t expecting much. The name pretty much tells you what you’re getting, and Ascot isn’t exactly the flashiest part of Perth. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t try too hard end up surprising you the most.
This isn’t your typical hotel setup – it’s actually a caravan park that does accommodation right, and I mean that in the best way possible. The whole place has this laid-back, unpretentious vibe that I found really refreshing after staying in too many cookie-cutter hotels. The staff at check-in were genuinely friendly (not that forced hospitality thing), and parking was dead easy – which, honestly, is half the battle in Perth these days. The grounds are well-maintained without being overly manicured, and there’s something nice about hearing the occasional laugh from families having barbecues instead of just sterile hotel corridor silence. I stayed in one of their cabin-style accommodations, and while it’s not luxury by any stretch, everything was clean and functional. The bed was actually pretty comfortable, and the little kitchenette came in handy more than I expected – especially since there’s a decent IGA just down Central Avenue if you need supplies.
What really works about this place is the location, though not in the way you might think. Sure, you’re about 15 minutes from the city center, but Ascot has its own thing going on. There’s the racecourse nearby (which can get interesting on race days – fair warning about the traffic), and you’re surprisingly close to some solid local spots that most tourists never find. The airport’s not far either, which is actually perfect if you’ve got an early flight and don’t want to deal with city hotel prices. I walked to a little café called The Local Bean one morning – just a few streets over – and had one of the better flat whites I’ve had in Perth, surrounded by actual locals reading newspapers instead of Instagram. The 8.1 rating makes complete sense to me because this place delivers exactly what it promises, nothing more but definitely nothing less. It’s clean, affordable, the people are genuine, and you get a real sense of staying somewhere that locals actually use too. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere honest and comfortable to crash while you explore Perth properly – without paying city center prices – Central Caravan Park does the job really well.
Travelers can book a resort that perfectly matches their vacation dreams, from beachfront properties to mountain retreats, ensuring every detail is crafted for maximum enjoyment and relaxation.

Grace from New Zealand (February 14, 2025)
The staff were absolutely amazing. We booked the room for the wrong day, arrived late and they were still able to accommodate us without any issues. The room/cabin was huge and had everything you needed!
What could be improved: The fan in the bedroom was loud and the hot water took a little bit longer to warm up.

What could be improved: Would of been good to have AC going upon arrival as it took a bit to cool don the unit

The location was great, staff were fantastic and friendly. We would definitely stay again if we were to go back to perth
What could be improved: Bedroom was a little on the small side, and the aircon didn't reach the bedroom, so it was a little hot at night. The porch was a little run down and needs some maintenance

My daughter and I loved the location and the cleanliness of our cabin. She even mentioned that her family should stay here next time they were in Perth. What could be improved: I would have loved locks on the fly screen doors, so I could leave them open to let the lovely breeze through. We did find that the cabin became very cold at night, both...
