BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Inverloch
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Inverloch on Cuttriss Street, I wasn’t expecting much. Holiday parks can be hit or miss, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away just a couple of blocks from the main beach drag, which means you get that perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to everything but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of day-trippers and their car doors slamming at 6 AM.
The thing about Inverloch is that it’s one of those coastal towns that locals have been keeping semi-secret for years – it’s got that proper beachy vibe without feeling too polished or touristy. And this place gets that. The cabins are actually well-maintained (I mean, they’re not luxury suites, but everything works and they’re clean), and the powered sites are spacious enough that you’re not listening to your neighbor’s morning routine through paper-thin walls. What really sold me was the camp kitchen situation – normally these communal setups are pretty grim, but theirs is genuinely usable. Good lighting, decent equipment, and someone clearly cleans it regularly. Plus, there’s this covered area where families tend to hang out in the evenings, and it’s got that relaxed holiday atmosphere where kids are running around and parents are actually unwinding with a beer.
The staff seem to know their stuff too, which matters more than you’d think. When I asked about the best fishing spots, the guy at reception didn’t just point vaguely toward the water – he actually drew me a little map showing where the jetty gets busy versus the quieter stretches along the shore. And parking? No drama whatsoever, even during the Easter rush when half of Melbourne seems to descend on this part of Gippsland. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk to the main surf beach, five minutes to the calmer bay side where the kids can actually swim without getting dumped by waves. There’s a decent playground on-site that kept the little ones happy, and honestly, the whole place just feels well-run without being uptight about rules. I’d definitely come back – it’s got that rare combination of being family-friendly but not chaotic, affordable but not shabby. If you’re thinking of exploring this stretch of coast, it’s a solid base that won’t eat up your entire holiday budget.

Cabins were not sound proof. Could hear chairs constantly dragging from close by cabin.

Facilities were amazing, the eco tent was a great experience, kids loved it, and not being a camper myself was great to be able to give them the camping experience. Also loved having our own private bbq. Highly recommended this park What could be improved: I feel like having to use a key to get to reception was annoying as it's something you...
