You’re also close enough to Ashington and Blyth if you need proper shops or fancy a change of scenery, but far enough away that you actually feel like you’ve escaped somewhere.

Nothing fancy, but they know their fish and chips, and the Sunday roast was actually quite good. The spa facilities are compact but well-maintained, perfect for unwinding after those long coastal walks that somehow always end up being longer than you planned.
