When I asked about the best time to hit the lighthouse walk, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward a brochure – he mentioned that early morning is brilliant because you’ll dodge the tour buses and the light hits those cliffs perfectly for photos. The only thing I’d mention is that being this central means you’ll hear a bit of street noise, especially on summer weekends when people are walking back from the pubs – but that’s Apollo Bay for you, and it quiets down pretty early anyway. For a 4-star holiday park with a 7.7 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d expect: good value, decent facilities, and a location that lets you actually enjoy one of Victoria’s best coastal spots without breaking the bank.
