Anglesea Family Caravan Park
Anglesea Family Caravan Park Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Anglesea Family Caravan Park on Cameron Road, I wasn’t expecting much. The name screams “basic holiday spot,” you know? But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those gems that’s been quietly doing its thing while fancier resorts grab all the attention. The whole setup feels refreshingly unpretentious – families actually having fun instead of posing for Instagram shots, kids running around with sandy feet, and that relaxed coastal vibe that you can’t fake.
What really got me was how well they’ve balanced the family-friendly chaos with genuine comfort. The facilities are actually modern and clean (I mean, properly clean, not just “good enough for camping” clean), and the sites are spacious enough that you’re not listening to your neighbor’s midnight snoring sessions. The park sits just far enough from the main Anglesea strip that you avoid the summer tourist madness, but close enough that grabbing fish and chips or hitting the famous surf beach is no drama at all. You know what impressed me most? The hot water never ran out – and if you’ve done caravan park stays before, you’ll know that’s basically a miracle. The camp kitchen was spotless too, with those little touches that show someone actually cares: decent lighting over the sinks, enough bench space, and – this might sound weird – but the fridges didn’t smell like someone’s forgotten prawns from 2019.
The staff genuinely seem to get that families want to relax without drama. Check-in was smooth, they actually knew useful local info (like which beach access points are best for little kids), and when our neighbors got a bit loud one evening, it was handled quietly without making anyone feel awkward. Sure, it gets busy during school holidays – I mean, what doesn’t around here – but even then it never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. The location is honestly perfect if you want that proper Surf Coast experience without paying resort prices. You’re a short walk from the Anglesea Golf Club (where the kangaroos literally graze on the fairways – locals aren’t even fazed by it anymore), and the coastal walking tracks start practically at your doorstep. I found myself coming back here because it just works – comfortable enough that everyone sleeps well, affordable enough that you don’t stress about the budget, and relaxed enough that you actually feel like you’re on holiday instead of managing one.

Terra from Australia (February 6, 2025)
Great location with easy beach access. Cabin was clean, well appointed and spacious. Staff had the air con running on arrival so it was comfortable on the very hot day we arrived. Even though the cabin was very close to the entrance and swimming pool, it was nice and quiet.
Caitlin from Australia (January 29, 2025)
The cabins were in great condition, clean and tidy with lots of bedding and towels, good kitchen, air conditioning - great set up. The grounds were well looked after, the pool and jumping pillow were very popular with the kids. You can walk to the beach, but it was easier to drive 5 minutes down the road to be closer to the flags. What could be...

Loved the ocean
What could be improved: Nothing
Jade from Australia (January 23, 2025)
Location, close to shops and somewhat close to the beach. Fairly quiet.
That we got fresh towels half way through our stay.
What could be improved: No DVD player or washing machine. Donna’s were too hot for summer time. Kitchen sink tap pressure too high and stays water everywhere.
Internet not great.
Eric from United States (January 15, 2025)
Very clean and modern cabin located a short walk from the beach. Cabin was very roomy and modern.
What could be improved: Whirlpool jets did not work.
