Village Vacances La Vallicella

Village Vacances La Vallicella Overview
So here’s the thing about Village Vacances La Vallicella – it’s tucked away in this little hamlet called Levolle that honestly, most people drive right past without noticing. I mean, you’re coming from the main road between Bastia and Aléria, and suddenly there’s this turn-off that feels like you’re heading into someone’s backyard. But that’s exactly what makes this place special.
The property itself is sort of this rambling collection of stone buildings that blend right into the Corsican countryside – you know how some hotels try way too hard to look “authentic”? Well, this one actually is. The owner clearly gets that less is more, because there’s no flashy signage or over-the-top landscaping, just these weathered stone walls and olive trees that have probably been there longer than any of us. What really got me was how quiet it gets at night – I’m talking that deep countryside silence where you can actually hear the wind moving through the maquis. The rooms are pretty simple, honestly, but in a good way. Think exposed beams, cool tile floors that feel amazing on bare feet during those hot Corsican summers, and windows that frame the hills like paintings. The beds are comfortable enough, though the real magic happens when you step outside. There’s this terrace area where they serve breakfast – nothing fancy, just local honey, fresh bread, and coffee that’s actually decent (which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given at smaller places like this).
What I really appreciate is how the staff knows the area inside and out. They’ll tell you about the hiking trails that start practically from the hotel’s doorstep, or point you toward the beaches near Bravone that the tour buses never find. The location is perfect for exploring eastern Corsica – you’re maybe twenty minutes from some gorgeous stretches of coast, but far enough inland that you feel like you’ve discovered something secret. Parking is never an issue, which is more of a relief than you’d think if you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car through Corsican village streets. The whole vibe is relaxed in that specifically French way – nobody’s rushing around trying to upsell you on spa treatments or excursions. Check-in was refreshingly low-key, just a genuine conversation about where we’d come from and what we were hoping to see. I’d say the biggest downside is that if you’re looking for amenities like a pool or room service, you’ll be disappointed. But honestly? That’s missing the point entirely. This is the kind of place where you sit outside with a glass of local wine, watch the light change on the mountains, and remember why you wanted to get away from everything in the first place.

Kind of tourist village, but very quiet in September. Very nice and helpful host. Very close to the wide and long beach. Elevated, infinity pool. Private parking. Appartment very spacious, well equipped, with very big terrace. Pet friendly.

The location is perfect, with beach and pool on walking distance. The beach side restaurant is fine. The cottage was small, but nice.

Beach was nice (you don't have to pay 20 EUR for umbrella and chairs if you decide to eat at their restaurant). Restaurant served good food. Pool was ok, kids enjoyed it. Whole village was nice, they have play area for kids. Good place for relaxing.

Especially the hosts were absolutely lovely. Our apartment was really spacious able we even had a separate room for the wardrobe. It was a tiny bit dark, but we loved it in the hot weather, we barely used air con. The beach is excellent and the garden is lovely.
Lukas from Germany
It is a nice apartment complex with easy access/parking. The rooms and equipment were good and above our expectations. There even was a service to buy fresh bread every day. The personnel was exceptionally friendly and recommended good trips to us.
